I have recently found myself harbouring a ridiculous amount of mini beauty products. Sometimes I find that minis are great, they introduce you to new brands and potential new faves (or obvious duds), however I also find that I forget about them and end up with far too many hanging around!
I have therefore decided to start a series on this blog called ‘Quick Fire Minis’ where I can run through some of the products that I have tested recently and what my thoughts are.
(prices are for the full size version)
First up: Glam Glow Firming Treatment £44
This mask is all about the experience. It is silver in colour and when applied, dries down allowing you to peel it off! It claims to firm, which as a young person can be a difficult thing to notice. Personally, whilst the experience of looking like a tin man and then trying to peel the mask off in one is entertaining, the skincare benefits are not worth the price.
Overall: 4/10
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm £30
This product is a seriously well-known cult favourite so I was excited to try it. Emma Hardie products are known for being luxurious yet effective- this product is just that. I was very impressed that it melted all my makeup off and left my skin feeling SO SOFT! It does have a lot of fragrance if that is something you like to avoid- but generally for a wash of product I don’t mind. It is a little more expensive for a cleanser but I am definitely tempted to get the full size!
Overall: 8/10
Emma Hardie Protect and Prime SPF30 £46
A second EH product! This suncream was a love/hate. Texture -wise, it isn’t too greasy but feels moisturising and sinks in really nicely- which is great. However, it smells so strong! It boasts some great ingredients but also loads of essential oils and fragrance which are totally unnecessary and overpowering. Another turn off is the price!

Saturday Skin Featherweight Daily Moisturising Cream £39
If you haven’t heard of Saturday Skin, it’s a Korean brand whose products focus on simplified routines and intense hydration. I wasn’t expecting much from this moisturiser, but I’m actually really impressed. It isn’t too heavy but feels super moisturising and boasts some really great ingredients including their exclusive peptide complex. Fabulous!
Overall: 9/10
Lastly: Pai Lightwork Rosehip Cleansing Oil £33
I am loving oil/balm cleansers at the moment so I was definitely excited to try this one. Sadly, I was very disappointed. Whilst it has some fab ingredients and claims, the experience was underwhelming. I found that it was too thick meaning I needed to use a lot of product and it didn’t get rid of my makeup very well. A solid no from me.
Overall: 2/10
I hope you have found this post helpful! I have definitely enjoyed testing products without having to spend any/ as much money and it’s also really great when you find something that you enjoy using. I will be back soon with some more quick fire minis!
