In recent years Niacinamide has become super popular in the world of skincare, with The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% solution leading the charge and consequently being replicated by many different brands.
Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3 and works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly minimize and tighten enlarged pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface. It is also known to reduce the impact of environmental damage. It really is a powerhouse ingredient.
I first introduced Niacinamide into my routine just under a year ago and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I started with The Ordinary’s version which was alright but I found that it didn’t sink into my sink very well. I then decided to try The Inkey List’s Niacinamide serum and I love it! I think I’m on my 4th bottle!
Since trying this product I have found out that most skin experts recommend The Ordinary one for oilier skin and The Inkey List for normal- dry skin as it has 1% Hyaluronic Acid so you may want to bare that in mind.
I really feel like Niacinamide has helped my skin. I have definitely noticed that my skin tone is more even and smoother and that it helps my skin look clearer and brighter. Personally, I don’t think I’ve seen a change with wrinkles or environmental damage, but they are not my main concerns anyway. Additionally, The Inkey List product is really lightweight so it sinks beautifully into the skin and is gentle enough to use morning and night.
A huge bonus with either of the brands I’ve mentioned is their price. They are both super affordable brands that don’t sacrifice efficacy and innovation.
All in all, I would really recommend any form of Niacinamide, but specifically The Inkey List one! Let me know if you’ve tried it and what you think! Or if you have any questions, leave them below. If you want to be notified every time I post then sign up with your email!
Lots of love,
